Mookie Wilson
Sept 20 – Sept 26 | Show #763
After making the All-Tournament Team in the 1977 College World Series, Mookie was drafted by the Mets in the second round, launching a New York Mets Hall of Fame career, as one of the most spirited and effective players in baseball. In 1986, Mookie’s ten pitch at-bat, in the top of the tenth, led to his ground ball through Bull Buckner’s legs and an ultimate Mets victory in the fabled 1986 World Series.
